Last year we added a pride banner to the subreddit as a small show of support that was originally planned to remain only for the month of June. You help us make this a more welcoming community and help us reaffirm that hateful behavior has no place here. We have zero tolerance for people who act or say otherwise. r/Games is a place where the LGBT+ community will always be welcome. We've been happy to watch the progress over the years, and we want this place to be a platform where that people can discuss that progress and the work that remains ahead. While there is still progress to be made, games have come a long way in supporting folks with safe spaces to be themselves and create characters that fully express who they are that they can take on that next adventure. Video games are a unique form of entertainment where people not only get to step out of their shoes and experience something new and exciting, but also where people can feel safe to freely express who they are.
